The surface quality requirements for hot-dip galvanized steel sheets are relatively high for automotive exterior panels, mainly involving the following aspects:
1. Surface smoothness
Smooth and flat: The surface should be free of obvious bumps, scratches, indentations, and other defects.
Uniformity: The galvanized layer should be uniform to avoid uneven thickness or missed plating.
2. Quality of galvanized layer
Adhesion: The galvanized layer should be firmly attached and not easily peeled off.
Thickness control: The thickness of the galvanized layer should meet the standard, usually between 7-15 μ m.
No defects: The surface should be free of defects such as zinc flowers, zinc slag, zinc particles, etc.
3. Corrosion resistance
Corrosion resistance: The galvanized layer should have good corrosion resistance to ensure long-term use without rusting.
Weather resistance: able to resist the erosion of environmental factors such as ultraviolet rays and rainwater.
4. Coating performance

5. Mechanical properties
