Corrosion resistance
The tin layer is chemically stable in the atmosphere, water and food media, which can effectively protect the substrate from corrosion. It is especially suitable for packaging weakly acidic foods (such as juice and meat).
Solderability
The tin layer has a low melting point (232°C) and has good bonding with solder (such as lead-tin alloy), which is convenient for welding electronic components or seam welding and sealing of packaging containers.
Formability
The cold-rolled substrate has good ductility after annealing and can be stamped into complex shapes (such as cans and containers). The tin layer is not easy to fall off or crack during the forming process.
Surface characteristics
The surface of the tin layer after soft melting is smooth and can be directly printed or painted, with strong decorative properties; and the tin layer is non-toxic and odorless, and meets the standards for food contact materials (such as FDA, GB 4806.9).
