Galvalume steel coils is also known as Al-Zn coated steel coils. It is a carbon steel sheet coated with aluminum-zinc alloy through a continuous hot-dip process. The typical coating composition is 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc and 1.5% silicon. This coating combines the superior corrosion resistance of aluminum and the galvanic protection of zinc.
Due to this unique alloy coating, Galvalume steel coil has excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance, weather resistance and long service life. It can last 25-30 years without significant color fading or perforation. This superior durability makes it ideal for outdoor roofing and wall applications with harsh environments like industrial buildings, warehouses, barns, etc.
In addition to excellent anti-corrosion properties, Galvalume steel coil also has a bright and uniform spangle, as well as good paintability and formability. It can be painted in many colors to match different architectural styles. And it can also be cold-formed into different profiles according to specific needs.

GL are 3 ~ 6 times more corrosion - resistant compared to GI , but has a similar level of processability and weldability and can replace GI, and in particular is most suitable when replacing GI that require thick galvanized layers and high corrosion resistance .
Only galvanized steel sheet that is used for roofing and walls without painting because of its unique silver spangles and beautiful appearance and high - corrosion resistance, and is used as a cool roofing material because of its excellent heat reflection qualities .
Can replace aluminum gilded steel sheets because for certain purposes of its electrical conductivity and its heat-resistance qualities even at high temperatures that do not exceed 315 ℃ .
Has greater surface hardness than GIs , and is much more wear - resistant .
Corrosion resistance increased more with resin-coating treatment , which enables roll forming or press forming without the spraying of processed coils .
