Alloy 410 is the basic, general purpose martensitic stainless steel that is used for highly stressed parts and provides good corrosion resistance plus high strength and hardness. Alloy 410 contains a minimum of 11.5% chromium which is just sufficient enough to demonstrate corrosion resistance properties in mild atmospheres, steam, and many mild chemical environments. It is a general purpose grade that is often supplied in the hardened but still machineable condition for applications where high strength and moderate heat and corrosion resistance are required. Alloy 410 displays maximum corrosion resistance when it's been hardened, tempered, and then polished.
4x8 Stainless steel Sheet
Stainless steel plate 4 * 8, is the industry's representation of the size of the steel plate, the more standardized writing is 4'* 8', that is, the width and length of the steel plate is 1219 mm * 2438 mm.
'Single quotes' refer to feet, which is an English unit of measurement. 4 'and 8' represent 4 feet and 8 feet, respectively.
One foot = 12 inches = 304.8 mm (meters). 4 '(four feet) = 1219mm (meters), 8' (eight feet) = 2438mm (meters)
For example, the steel plate writes: 2 * 4 '* 8' (or 2 * 4 * 8), which indicates the thickness, width, and length of the rusted steel plate, which are 2mm, 1219mm, and 2438mm.
If 1.5 * 4 '* 8', it means the thickness of the steel plate x width x length = 1.5mmx 1219mmx 2438mm. The common size of stainless steel plate is another 4 * 10 feet, that is, the width and length are 1219x 3048mm.
