1. Characteristics of cold-rolled automotive steel

Cold-rolled automotive steel refers to steel that is made by further rolling hot-rolled steel plates through a cold rolling mill at room temperature. It has the characteristics of high strength, high elongation, excellent fatigue resistance, corrosion resistance and good formability, providing reliable support for the modern automobile industry.

2. Production process

The production process of cold-rolled automotive steel mainly includes hot rolling, pickling, cold rolling, annealing, finishing and other steps. During the hot rolling process, the molten iron is cast into a steel billet through a continuous casting machine, and then heated in a heating furnace for hot rolling. The hot-rolled steel plates are pickled to remove surface oxide scale, and then enter the cold rolling mill for rolling. The rolled steel plate is annealed as needed to improve its mechanical properties and processing performance. Finally, after finishing processing, such as cutting, straightening, inspection, etc., the finished cold-rolled automotive steel is obtained.

3. Application fields

Cold-rolled automotive steel is widely used in key components such as automobile bodies, chassis, engines, and suspension systems. Among them, high-strength cold-rolled automobile steel has become an important material for automobile lightweighting, energy saving and emission reduction due to its excellent mechanical properties and fatigue resistance. In addition, with the rapid development of the new energy vehicle market, cold-rolled automotive steel with excellent corrosion resistance is increasingly widely used in the field of new energy vehicles.
