What is cold rolled steel strip for armor?
Cold-rolled steel strip for armoring is a key material for outer protection of power cables, communication cables, etc. It is mainly used to enhance the mechanical strength, compression resistance and corrosion resistance of cables.
Material properties
High strength: The tensile strength is usually 300~600MPa, ensuring resistance to external forces (such as extrusion, rodent gnawing).
Flexibility: Elongation ≥20%, convenient for cable bending and laying.
Corrosion resistance: galvanized (zinc layer 40~275g/m²) or painted, suitable for humid, acidic and alkaline environments.
Dimensional accuracy: thickness 0.2~0.8mm (common 0.5mm), width 20~100mm, tolerance ±0.02mm.
