DC56D+Z is a hot-dip galvanized steel sheet with excellent mechanical properties. It is suitable for a variety of applications where strength requirements are less stringent but formability and corrosion resistance are important. Its specific mechanical properties are as follows:
Yield Strength: Generally around 130-260 MPa, although some sources indicate a yield strength of 215 MPa or between 130-210 MPa.
Tensile Strength: Typically between 270-350 MPa. Some sources indicate a tensile strength of 335-450 MPa, while others indicate 450-600 MPa. However, the more common range is 270-350 MPa.
Elongation: ≥38%. This excellent elongation allows for smooth stretching and bending during forming processes, making it suitable for stamping complex shaped parts. Hardness: Hardness ranges from 85-125 HRB, with some literature reporting hardness values of 98-180. Different testing methods and standards may result in different hardness data.
Cold Bend Performance: For a 180° cold bend test, when specimen width B = 2a (a is the steel thickness or diameter) and B ≤ 60mm, the longitudinal bend center diameter d = 0.5a, and the transverse d = a. When 60mm < B ≤ 100mm, the longitudinal d = 1.5a, and the transverse d = 2a. When 100mm < B ≤ 200mm, the longitudinal d = 2a, and the transverse d = 2.5a.
Impact Performance: At 20°C, V-type impact energy absorption (longitudinal) Ak/J ≥ 27.
