Strongly corrosive environment: Seawater/salt spray: 316 stainless steel (containing Mo, resistant to chloride ion corrosion);
Acid and alkali media: 316 stainless steel (acid resistant) or Teflon-coated galvanized parts (very few extreme scenarios).

Welding requirements: For frequent welding, choose Q235 (low carbon content, excellent weldability), avoid 45# steel (needs preheating to prevent cracking).
Heat treatment requirements: For quenching and strengthening, choose 45# steel or 20CrMnTi (hardness can be improved by carburizing/tempering), stainless steel (304/316) is generally not heat treated.
