What is SGCC 0.2mm Steel coil Hot Dip Galvanized Steel -JIS G3302 ?

SGCC stands for Structural Galvanized Cold-rolled Steel. Its core process is to immerse the cold-rolled steel sheet in molten zinc at about 450°C to form a zinc-iron alloy layer through metallurgical reaction. This process includes degreasing, pickling, plating, hot-dip plating, cooling and other steps, and finally forms a dense zinc protective film on the surface of the steel.

SGCC material is commercial quality hot-dipped galvanized steel. The first letter "S" stands for steel, while the "G" stands for galvanized. The third letter "C" refers to cold rolled steel. That is, the base material is CR steel. The fourth letter "C" stands for commercial quality. Equivalent to DX51D material in EN 10327 standard.

Depending on the cooling rate, the surface of SGCC can form Large Spangle, Regular Spangle,Small Spangle or Zero Spangle. Small Spangle are more suitable for surface treatment that requires painting.
Common specifications for zinc layer thickness are Z100 and Z200, which means that the weight of zinc layer per square meter is 100g and 200g respectively. High zinc layer (such as Z275) is suitable for extreme environments such as the ocean.
