SGCC Definition
SGCC steel is a soft forming quality hot dip galvanized steel. SGCC is a material grade and designation defined in JIS G 3302 standard. JIS G 3302 is a Japanese material standard for hot dip galvanized steels. The commercial quality hot dip galvanized steel is a type of steel that can be made after galvanizing a coil of SPCC cold rolled material. The Zinc coating thickness is based on the thickness and width and is governed by JIS G 3302.
SGCC - hot-dip galvanized steel plate. The zinc layer of the steel plate is hot-dip galvanized, and the price is more expensive than SECC.
Main characteristics: 1>corrosion resistance; 2>paintability; 3>formability; 4>spot weldability.
Usage: Widely used, mainly used in small household appliances and some places with good appearance.
Grade: SGCC, SGCD1, SGCD2, SGCD3 belong to Japanese hot-dip galvanized steel sheets.
Zinc layer codes: Z12, Z18, Z20, Z22, Z25, Z27
Symbol: S-steel, G-cold, fourth digit C-common, D-draw; 1, 2-stamping grade, 3-deep drawing grade; Z- Galvanized layer (Zine), 12,...,27-zinc adhesion amount × 10g/m2.
