What is the material grade of ST05Z steel coil?
ST05Z is a high-grade stamping steel in galvanized steel coils, higher than ordinary commercial grade (ST02Z/CQ) and mechanical grade (ST03Z), close to ultra-deep drawing grade (such as ST06Z/DDQ).
Corresponding international classification:
Europe: DC04Z (EN 10152) (deep drawing grade)
Japan: SGCD3 (JIS G 3302)
USA: DDS (Drawing Steel, ASTM A653)
Core performance:
Low yield strength (usually ≤180MPa), high elongation (A50≥34%), excellent n value (hardening index) and r value (plastic strain ratio), ensuring that the material is not easy to crack during deep drawing.

What is the difference between ST05Z and ST02Z?
ST02Z:
It is a general commercial grade (CQ) galvanized sheet in the Chinese standard (GB/T 2518), corresponding to the European standard DC01Z.
"ST" stands for steel, "02" stands for ordinary stamping level, and "Z" stands for galvanized (Zinc Coated).
ST05Z:
It is a deep drawing grade (DQ) galvanized sheet, corresponding to the European standard DC03Z or DC04Z.
"05" stands for higher stamping performance, suitable for complex forming.

ST05Z galvanized steel equivalent to?
1. European Standard (EN)
DC04Z or DC03Z
DC04Z (EN 10152) is a deep drawing grade galvanized steel, which is closest to ST05Z in mechanical properties (low yield strength, high elongation) and formability (high n value, r value).
2. American Standard (ASTM)
A653 CS Type B or A653 DDS (Drawing Steel)
There is no direct corresponding grade in the ASTM standard, but DDS grade (deep drawing steel) galvanized sheet (such as SAE1006D) is similar to ST05Z in formability.
3. Japanese Standard (JIS)
SGCC D or SGCD3
SGCD3 (deep drawing grade) in JIS G 3302 is close to ST05Z in performance, but the Japanese standard pays more attention to surface treatment classification (such as "D" for stamping).
4. German Standard (DIN)
DX54D+Z (or DX53D+Z)
A grade commonly used by European car companies, it matches the deep drawing performance of ST05Z and is especially suitable for complex parts such as automotive inner panels.
Can ST05Z steel replace stainless steel?
Alternative scenarios:
Non-load-bearing parts (such as home appliance housings, decorative panels).
Dry or short-term use environment (2-5 years of life).
Irreplaceable scenarios:
Food contact, medical equipment (requires the hygiene of stainless steel).
Highly corrosive environment (such as chemical equipment).
