The difference between DC01 and DC07

1.What is the difference in chemical composition?

DC01 generally has a carbon content of ≤0.10%, a manganese content of ≤0.50%, a sulfur content of ≤0.025%, and a phosphorus content of ≤0.035%. DC07 has stricter control over the chemical composition. To ensure ultra-deep drawing performance, the carbon, sulfur, and phosphorus contents are lower. Manganese content usually has a stricter upper limit, and there may also be more precise content requirements for elements such as aluminum.

2.What are the differences in mechanical properties?

DC01 has a yield strength of no more than 280 MPa, a tensile strength of 270-410 MPa, and an elongation of no less than 28%. DC07 has a yield strength of no more than 150 MPa, a tensile strength of 250-310 MPa, and an elongation of no less than 44%. In comparison, DC07 has lower strength but higher elongation and better plasticity.

3.What is the difference in molding performance?

DC01 has moderate drawing qualities but is generally not used for deep drawing, often used for simple bending and other processes. DC07 is an ultra-deep drawing IF steel, the highest grade in the ultra-deep drawing steel category. Its excellent formability and ductility make it suitable for forming more complex parts.

4.What are the differences in application areas?

DC01 can be used to manufacture parts with low stress and high toughness, such as automobile bodies, containers, and gaskets. It can also be used for forming processes such as cold rolling, cold stamping, and cold bending, as well as for carburized parts with low core strength. DC07 is primarily used in the manufacturing of automobiles, home appliances, and electronic and electrical components, such as complex stamping parts for automobiles and high-end precision housings for home appliances.

5.What are the differences in production processes?

The production process for DC07 is more complex. It requires stricter raw material screening and more precise rolling process control. It typically employs multiple cold rolling passes, high-precision annealing, and stricter surface treatment to ensure excellent deep-drawing performance and surface quality. The production process for DC01 is relatively simple.
