According to experts, the standard zinc layer thickness of ASME galvanized pipe in the United States is 540 grams. The GB/3091 standard previously stipulated that the galvanized layer was 500 grams. The 2008 standard was changed to 500 grams and required negotiation between both parties. The 2013 standard stipulates two levels: 500 grams and 300 grams, such as fire pipes are uniformly 500 grams.
Last week, there was a galvanized pipe factory in the north, promoting 300 grams.
We believe that the thickness of the zinc layer is a key factor in determining the service life of galvanized pipes, which affects thousands of households.
