S280GD Galvanized Steel
S280GD galvanized steel sheets and plates are low-carbon steel that's coated with zinc through the hot-dip galvanizing process to protect it from corrosion. The steel is mainly made of iron, with small amounts of carbon, manganese, and silicon to improve its strength and formability. It has a yield strength of 280 MPa, which makes it suitable for moderate load-bearing applications, according to the EN 10346 standard.
The zinc coating helps prevent rust, making S280GD a good choice for environments with moisture, salt, or other corrosive elements. It's commonly used in construction for roofing and wall panels, in the automotive industry for body panels and undercarriages, and in appliances like refrigerators and washing machines. Thanks to its balance of strength and corrosion resistance, S280GD works well in a variety of industries.

advantage
High Strength: 280 MPa yield strength is in the medium to high strength class of structural galvanized steel to support critical structural components.
Lightweight: Reduced material usage reduces the weight of the building or product while meeting load-carrying requirements.
Advanced Corrosion Protection: Coating thicknesses can be selected depending on the application to withstand harsh industrial environments.
Optimized formability: Maintains the ability to bend/stamp complex designs and can be used as a raw material for a wide range of complex shapes.
Aesthetically pleasing and uniform: Smooth surface with zinc spangle and support for chromic acid passivation, oiling and fingerprint resistance.
