Vehicle condition inspection: Ensure the vehicle's surface is flat, clean, and free of sharp protrusions, oil stains, chemical residues, etc.

2.What are the key points in the loading process?

Vertical Transportation Principle:

Coated rolls must be placed upright (i.e., the axis is parallel to the ground). Horizontal placement (axis perpendicular to the ground) is strictly prohibited. Horizontal placement will cause the rolls to deform due to rolling and shaking during transportation, and can easily lead to slippage between layers, scratching the coating.

Use Professional Protective Materials:

Steel or Wooden Brackets: Use sturdy brackets between rolls and between rolls and vehicle sideboards to prevent collisions.

Anti-slip Materials: Place rubber pads, straw mats, or special anti-slip paper between the rolls and the vehicle sideboards, and between layers (if multiple layers) to increase friction and prevent slippage.

Binding Straps/Ropes: Use sufficiently strong nylon binding straps or steel wire ropes (with corner protectors) for longitudinal and transverse cross-binding to ensure the rolls are firmly secured to the vehicle. Sufficient tension must be maintained during binding, and the force must be evenly distributed.

Scientific Loading Methods:

Even Weight Distribution: Place heavier rolls at the bottom and lighter rolls on top.

Close Arrangement: Rolls should be packed tightly together, utilizing their cylindrical structures to support each other and form a stable whole.

"Well" Pattern Loading: If loading multiple layers, use sturdy wooden boards or support frames to separate the layers, and arrange the rolls in a staggered "well" pattern to avoid vertical stacking, increasing stability and distributing pressure.

3.What precautions should be taken during transportation?

Smooth Driving:

Drivers should avoid sudden braking, sharp turns, and high-speed driving over bumpy roads. Severe shaking and impact are major causes of roll material displacement, deformation, and packaging damage.

Waterproofing and Moisture Proofing:

The roll must be completely and tightly covered with a waterproof tarpaulin or raincoat. Although color-coated rolls have good weather resistance, prolonged immersion in rainwater during transportation can allow moisture to seep into the roll's seams, forming a "water film" inside. This can lead to color bleeding between coatings (especially light-colored paints), white rust, and even substrate corrosion.

The tarpaulin cover must be securely fastened to prevent it from being blown open by the wind during high-speed driving.

Dust and Pollution Prevention:

The tarpaulin also serves as a dust barrier. If hard particles such as dust and sand accumulate in the roll's seams, they will scratch the surface during subsequent unwinding and use.

4.What are the key points of unloading operations?

Use appropriate tools:

Preferably use C-hooks or forklifts for steel coils: These tools are specifically designed for vertical steel coil handling, providing stable force from within the coil core, making them the safest and best-protecting method for the product.

Use wire ropes for lifting: If wire ropes must be used, special corner protectors or thick rubber tubing must be added to the areas where the wire rope contacts the edge of the coated coil. Direct contact between the wire rope and the edge of the coil is absolutely prohibited, as it will severely damage or cut the coating, causing edge deformation.

Lift and lower gently:

Operate smoothly to avoid collisions between the lifted coil and vehicles, the ground, or other objects.

Avoid rough handling:

The use of sharp tools such as pry bars for auxiliary operation is strictly prohibited, as this can easily cause permanent damage to the packaging and the surface of the coil.

 

5.What are the common questions and consequences?

Horizontal transport: Roll material rolls may roll, deform, or develop interlayer scratches ("roll collapse").

Without anti-slip measures: the roll material slides and collides on the vehicle, causing edge damage ("roll edge damage").

Without waterproofing: Water seepage leads to coating discoloration, white rust, and surface corrosion.
