SPCE refers to a type of Japanese steel, specifically a JIS steel grade, denoting deep-drawing-grade cold-rolled carbon steel sheet and strip suitable for deep drawing and stretching.
This deep-drawing grade is higher in quality than SPCC and SPCD. Therefore, SPCE is recommended for deep-drawing applications. SPCC and SPCD are more recommended for applications not involving deep drawing.
In SPCE, the "s" stands for "steel," the "p" stands for "plate," the "c" stands for "cold," and the "e" stands for "elongation," indicating deep-drawing quality. Therefore, the full name "SPCE" stands for deep-drawing grade cold-rolled carbon steel sheet and coil.
In the Japanese JIS grade standard, the first part indicates the material, with common materials being "s" and "f." "S" stands for steel, while "f" stands for iron. The second part represents the shape, application, and type. Common "p," "t," and "k" represent plate, tube, and tool, respectively. The third part indicates "c" for cold-rolled steel, and the fourth part indicates the grade, which are "c," "d," and "e," representing standard, stamping, and deep-drawing grades, respectively.
