HC420/780DP is a dual phase (DP) steel, which means it consists of two phases, ferrite and martensite. This unique dual phase structure gives HC420/780DP high strength and good ductility. It has a tensile strength of up to 780MPa and a yield strength of 420MPa, with excellent impact and fatigue resistance.
HC420/780DP automotive steel has excellent hardenability and resilience. Good hardenability means that the steel can obtain a uniform microstructure during the quenching process, thereby improving the overall strength. Resilience refers to the ability of the material to return to its original shape after being subjected to external forces, which is essential to ensure the safety and stability of the car.
