SPC270C is a commercial-quality cold-rolled carbon steel sheet defined by JFS A 2001, the standard issued by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation. Its standard designation is JSC270C; "SPC270C" is the transitional name still widely used in international trade, and the two are interchangeable.

The number matters: 270 is the minimum TENSILE strength in MPa, not the yield strength. Commercial-quality cold-rolled steel does not carry a guaranteed yield minimum - yield typically runs at 50–70 % of tensile, depending on thickness and temper. If your design is governed by yield strength, this is the wrong grade to specify; ask us for a drawing-quality grade (JSC270D / JSC270E) instead.
