Electro galvanized sheet is the name given to the process of applying a thin layer of zinc to the surface of a steel sheet. This process is used to prevent the sheet from rusting, increase corrosion resistance, and achieve an aesthetic appearance. The electro-galvanization process is carried out using electric current and is usually done through a process called cold rolling.
The steel substrate of the electro galvanized steel sheet is usually composed of a low-carbon steel, while zinc is used as the top layer.
