Products Description

DC53D+Z is a high-strength galvanized steel coil, using zinc-iron alloy (Z) coating technology. It uses low-carbon steel as the substrate and forms a uniform and dense galvanized layer on the surface through advanced hot-dip galvanizing technology. It combines many advantages and is suitable for industrial fields with high requirements on strength and surface.

Brand analysis:
DC: Cold rolled substrate
53: Forming grade (medium stamping performance)
D: Hot dip galvanized
+Z: Zinc coated

Product Advantages

DC53D+Z Hot Dip Galvanized Steel

Excellent formability: The elongation of DC53D+Z steel coil is ≥32%, which is perfectly adapted to the complex stamping requirements of automotive structural parts, home appliance housings, etc., and significantly reduces the risk of cracking

Long-term protection: Z80 coating (160g/㎡ on both sides) provides 8-10 years of anti-corrosion protection, especially suitable for corrosion-prone parts such as door inner panels

Stable welding: The optimized zinc-iron alloy layer structure of DC53D+Z steel reduces welding spatter by 30%, improving production line efficiency

Surface precision control: The surface roughness of DC53D+Z steel coil is Ra≤1.0μm, which meets the requirements of direct spraying of high-end home appliances and eliminates the pretreatment process

Price-performance ratio: DC53D+Z hot-dip galvanized steel is 25% lower in cost than the zinc-aluminum-magnesium solution, and the forming qualification rate is 15% higher than that of ordinary deep drawing steel (DC51D)

1. What is the difference between DC53D+Z and DX51D+Z?
Substrate strength: DC53D substrate is high-strength low-carbon steel (yield strength ≥ 340MPa), which is more suitable for load-bearing structural parts than DX51D (mild steel).
Coating characteristics: Zinc-iron alloy coating (Z) is more resistant to high temperatures than pure zinc coating (such as Zinc), and is not prone to zinc volatilization defects during welding or spraying.

2. How to choose the coating weight? For example, the difference between 60g/m² and 120g/m²?
Corrosion resistance: The thicker the coating (such as 120g/m²), the stronger the rust resistance, which is suitable for outdoor or high humidity environments (such as the seaside).

3. What may be the cause of coating peeling or scratching during processing?
Tool wear: It is recommended to use special tools for galvanized plates (made of carbide) to avoid friction with ordinary tools that cause coating to fall off.

4. Can DC53D+Z be welded directly? What should be paid attention to?
Direct welding is possible, but the zinc layer is easily oxidized at high temperature to produce pores. MIG/MAG welding with low current and fast welding speed can be used; clean the coating before welding (local grinding of the weld area).
