ASTM A653 hot-dip galvanized steel sheet is a type of steel sheet and strip widely used in the automotive, construction, home appliance and other industries, with a thickness range of 0.30mm to 3.0mm.
This coating can be pure zinc (hot-dip zinc coating (Z)) or zinc-iron alloy (hot-dip zinc-iron alloy coating (ZF)), the latter of which forms a zinc-iron alloy layer on the entire coating through an alloying process, in which the iron content is usually 7-15%.
In addition, the ASTM A653 standard also includes interstitial free steels and high strength interstitial free steels, which provide high strength and excellent cold forming properties by controlling the chemical composition and microstructure, and are suitable for complex parts that require deep drawing.
