Dx51d galvanized steel sheet is covered with a layer of zinc after hot-dip galvanizing to improve its corrosion resistance.
Dx51d is a steel grade in the European standard EN 10346, indicating that it is a continuous hot-dip galvanized steel sheet for cold forming. DX indicates that the steel sheet is suitable for forming operations, and the number 51 indicates its yield strength (generally 280~320 MPa).
Z275 and Z350 are the thickness of the zinc coating in grams per square meter (g/m²). Z275 means that the zinc coating weight is 275 g/m², and Z350 means that the zinc coating weight is 350 g/m². A higher zinc coating weight generally means better corrosion resistance.
Hot-dip galvanized steel sheets form a zinc layer by immersing the steel sheet in molten zinc, thereby improving the corrosion resistance of the steel sheet. These galvanized steel sheets are widely used in industries such as construction, automobiles, and home appliances.
