DC01 Coil Mechanical Properties
The mechanical properties of DC01 cold-rolled coil (non-galvanized) primarily adhere to the European standard EN 10130. Key mechanical properties and test conditions are listed below:
1. Standard Mechanical Properties (EN 10130)

Specimen Orientation: Mechanical properties are generally tested in the rolling direction (longitudinal direction); transverse properties may be slightly lower.
How does thickness affect performance?
With thinner thickness, yield strength and elongation may fluctuate slightly (for example, for thicknesses <0.5mm, elongation may be slightly lower).
Annealed Condition: DC01 is typically supplied in the annealed (soft) condition to ensure good formability.
3. Differences from Galvanized Coil (DC01+Z)
For galvanized coils (such as DC01+Z or DX51D), mechanical properties are essentially the same as those of the base material, but please note:
The galvanizing process (hot-dip/electroplating) has minimal impact on performance, but may slightly increase hardness (the zinc layer has a higher hardness).
The weight of the zinc coating (such as Z60/Z80) does not affect the mechanical properties of the base material.
4. Practical Application References
Stamping: Low yield strength and high elongation are suitable for simple stampings (such as electrical housings).
Bending: The minimum bend radius is approximately the same as the thickness (for example, a 1mm thick material can be bent to 1mm).
5. What are the two test methods?
Tensile test: According to EN ISO 6892-1, specimen width 20 mm, gauge length 80 mm (A80).
Hardness test: Either Rockwell hardness (HRB) or Vickers hardness (HV) can be selected.
