**Colliding with vehicle guardrails or falling directly to the ground:** This results in severe deformation of the coil itself, damage to the galvanized layer, rendering it unusable.

**Multiple coils colliding with each other:** This causes edge damage and surface scratches.

**Ensuring transport safety:** Stable cargo is a fundamental requirement for road safety. Rolling coils are extremely dangerous "road killers."

**Maintaining cargo quality:** Even without scattering, slight movement and friction during transport can lead to:

**Surface scratches:** Damaging the polished galvanized surface, affecting customer use and subsequent processing.

**Edge compression deformation ("coil collapse"): This prevents the leveling machine from feeding properly or increases trimming, resulting in material waste.

Compliant with laws and regulations: Transportation regulations in various countries clearly stipulate that goods must be securely fastened to the means of transport, otherwise, hefty fines will be imposed.

2.How to choose a vehicle and auxiliary tools?

Specialized coil transport vehicles: These vehicles have specially designed grooves or saddles on their decks to effectively support and restrain the bottom of the coil, preventing lateral movement.

Using triangular blocks/wheel stoppers: Placing sturdy triangular blocks or specialized wheel stoppers on both sides of the coil (perpendicular to the direction of travel) is the most effective physical barrier against rolling. Typically, one side is fixed to the deck, and the other side is flush against the coil.

3.How to choose the binding materials and methods?

High-strength steel strapping: This is the primary method of securing the material.

Strength: Sufficient strength strapping must be selected based on the weight of the roll (e.g., tensile strength ≥ 30 metric tons).

Quantity: Typically, 2-4 straps are used for longitudinal binding per roll.

Position: The strapping should be evenly distributed across the roll and used in conjunction with corner protectors (packing corners).

Corner Protectors (Packing Corners):

These are crucial components for protecting the edges of the roll and preventing the strapping from slipping. Placed between the strapping and the sharp edges of the roll, they can:

Distribute the immense pressure of the strapping on the roll, preventing cuts or deformation at the edges.

Increase friction, preventing the strapping from slipping on the curved surface of the roll.

Securing without corner protectors is unprofessional and poses a safety hazard.

4.What are the loading and fixing procedures?

Proper Loading: The roll material should be neatly arranged in the vehicle's saddle or recess, with the center of gravity centered.

Place Triangle Brackets: Place triangle brackets firmly against both sides of the roll material, ensuring they are secure.

Add Corner Protectors: Place corner protectors at the designated binding positions.

Binding: Use specialized tools (such as a pneumatic tensioner) to tighten and lock the high-strength steel straps, ensuring the straps tightly hold the roll material and corner protectors to the vehicle platform.

Final Inspection: Check that all straps are taut and the triangle brackets are secure, ensuring the roll material cannot be moved by hand.
