1.Why are galvanized coils suitable for making roll-formed steel sheets?
Excellent processing performance: Galvanized coils (usually low-carbon steel galvanized) possess excellent ductility and plasticity, making them ideal for cold working processes such as roll forming and bending without cracking.
Corrosion protection before forming: This is the most crucial advantage. Roll forming is a deep processing step performed on a flat sheet. Roll forming ordinary steel sheets before galvanizing is extremely difficult and costly (zinc liquid is difficult to evenly cover the complex pattern surface during hot-dip galvanizing and tends to accumulate). Using galvanized coils as raw material means the substrate already possesses strong rust resistance, and subsequent roll forming will not disrupt the continuity of the zinc layer or its cathodic protection.
High cost-effectiveness: Directly purchasing large coils of galvanized steel for continuous production results in high efficiency, low waste, and an overall cost lower than producing patterned anti-corrosion sheets using other methods.

2.What is the production process?
Uncoiling: Large coils of galvanized steel are loaded onto an uncoiler.
Straightening: The coil is flattened using a straightener to eliminate existing curling stress, ensuring a smooth surface for the next process.
Patterning: This is the core step. The sheet passes through a specialized pattern rolling mill. The mill is equipped with one or more pairs of rollers with corresponding patterns. As the sheet passes between the rollers, under strong pressure, the pattern on the rollers is "copied" onto the surface of the galvanized sheet.
Common patterns include: diamond pattern, lentil pattern, round bean pattern, checkered pattern, etc.
Fixed-length cutting: According to order requirements, the continuous patterned sheet is cut to a fixed length (flat sheet) or re-coiled into smaller coils.

3.What are the advantages of finished products?
Rust and corrosion resistant: Thanks to the underlying zinc layer, its service life far exceeds that of ordinary patterned steel sheets.
Slip-resistant and wear-resistant: The raised pattern on the surface provides excellent slip resistance and a certain degree of wear resistance.
Aesthetically pleasing and decorative: The pattern serves a decorative purpose, making it more attractive than plain sheets and concealing minor scratches.
High strength: The roll forming process itself is a cold work hardening process, which can improve the rigidity and strength of the sheet material to a certain extent.

4.What are its application areas?
Construction: Factory platforms, stair treads, pedestrian bridge surfaces, warehouse floors, etc.
Transportation: Truck bed floors, container floors, car running boards, etc.
Machinery Manufacturing: Equipment operating platforms, machinery housings and supports, etc.

5.What are some things to be aware of?
Zinc Coating Thickness: Depending on the operating environment, select a galvanized coil with an appropriate zinc coating weight (e.g., Z80, Z120, Z275, etc.). The more corrosive the environment, the thicker the zinc coating is required.
Substrate Material and Thickness: The thickness and strength of the substrate (e.g., Q235B) determine the load-bearing capacity of the finished patterned sheet.
Pattern Depth: The depth of the pattern affects the anti-slip effect and processing difficulty. Excessively deep patterns may require greater rolling force and place higher demands on the adhesion of the galvanized coating; however, the adhesion of the galvanized coating is usually sufficient to withstand reasonable rolling deformation.
