Welding performance?
Excellent, low carbon content, low carbon equivalent; suitable for arc welding, gas welding, and spot welding; no preheating required (for plates > 20mm, preheating at 100–150℃ is required).
Cold bending performance?
Good, no cracks after 180° cold bending; bending radius ≥ 1.5 × thickness.
Stamping performance?
Hot-rolled: General, suitable for shallow drawing; Cold-rolled: Excellent, suitable for deep drawing (e.g., automotive interior trim).
Shearing/slitting precautions?
Sheared edges are prone to burrs; burrs ≤ 0.1mm; stress relief after slitting to avoid warping.
Heat treatment?
Normalizing (850–870℃): Refines grains and improves toughness; cannot be quenched (poor hardenability).
