SGCC JIS G3302 GI galvanized steel for household appliances

SGCC is a hot-dip galvanized steel in the Japanese Industrial Standard JIS G3302, which is widely used in home appliances, construction and general industrial fields.


The surface of SGCC galvanized steel has zinc flowers (the size can be controlled). The zinc layer is made by hot-dip galvanizing. The steel plate is immersed in molten zinc liquid (about 450°C) to form a zinc-iron alloy layer. The zinc layer will be thicker and more corrosion-resistant than electroplating galvanizing, and the cost is also lower.

Zinc-iron alloy layer: The alloy layer (Γ/δ phase) formed by high-temperature process has stronger corrosion resistance
Long-term protection: Longer service life in humid environment (such as washing machine, water heater), reducing after-sales maintenance
Low material cost: About 15-30% cheaper than electroplating zinc (EG), suitable for large-scale production
Excellent process cost: Plating is completed in a single process, without the complex pre-treatment of electroplating
Low maintenance cost: Reduce the need for secondary treatment such as anti-corrosion coating
