This film should be large enough to completely enclose the coil and effectively sealed at the ends and seams (usually heat-sealed or securely taped) to ensure airtightness. This is the key to preventing moisture intrusion.
Sturdy outer packaging:
High-strength protective cover: Cover the upper and lower ends of the coil with a high-strength composite protective cover over the plastic inner film to prevent the inner film from being cut or abraded during lifting and transportation.
Radial reinforcement: Multiple steel belts or high-strength plastic strapping tapes are used to strap and reinforce the steel coil along its circumference, which can not only fix the inner packaging but also prevent it from loosening during transportation.

2.How to choose the right means of transportation?
Container Transport (Preferred):
Dry Cargo Containers: Ensure the container itself is structurally sound, free of holes and rust, and that the door seals are intact.
Ventilated Containers: In humid weather or during sea transport, consider using ventilated containers to facilitate air exchange and prevent "container rain" from forming inside the container.
Flatbed/Skeleton Transport:

Control temperature fluctuations: During container transportation, significant temperature fluctuations are a major cause of condensation. If conditions permit, place a desiccant (such as a container-specific desiccant) inside the container to absorb moisture from the air.

Ocean transportation: The highest risk. Salt spray, high humidity, wave splashes, and constant diurnal temperature swings all pose significant challenges. The most stringent packaging combination (waterproof inner film + protective cover + outer tarpaulin) must be used, along with containerized shipping and the generous use of desiccant.
Land transportation: Pay close attention to weather changes. Check the weather forecast before loading and avoid transport during rainy or snowy conditions. When stopping for rest, be sure to check the tarpaulin for integrity.
Rail transportation: Similarly, precautions must be taken to protect against rain and moisture, ensuring the tarpaulin is securely covered.
