Products Description

DC54D+AZ Galvalume Steel Coil is an ultra-deep drawing grade hot-dip aluminum-zinc (Al-Zn) alloy coated steel, manufactured with a DC54D cold-rolled substrate and a 55% Al-43.4% Zn-1.6% Si galvalume coating (+AZ). It is the highest formability grade in the common DC series, designed for the most complex stamping, deep drawing, and bending operations without cracking or surface defects.

Compared with DC51D/DC52D/DC53D, DC54D offers lower yield strength, higher elongation, and superior workability, making it the top choice for automotive inner parts, high-end appliance components, and precision architectural parts. As a premium Galvalume steel coil, it combines outstanding formability, long-term corrosion resistance, high heat reflectivity, and cost efficiency, solving the core pain points of customers in processing difficulty, short service life, and unstable quality.

AZ150 vs AZ180 vs AZ200

  • AZ150: Total coating weight 150 g/m² (both sides) ≈ 75 g/m² per side; single-side thickness ≈ 20 μm. Standard commercial grade, balanced performance and cost.

  • AZ180: Total coating weight 180 g/m² (both sides) ≈ 90 g/m² per side; single-side thickness ≈ 24 μm. Enhanced corrosion resistance for moderate industrial/humid environments.

  • AZ200: Total coating weight 200 g/m² (both sides) ≈ 100 g/m² per side; single-side thickness ≈ 26 μm. Heavy-duty grade, maximum protection for coastal, heavy industrial, or highly corrosive environments.

Parameter AZ150 AZ180 AZ200 Customer Benefit
Total Coating Weight (both sides) 150 g/m² 180 g/m² 200 g/m² Higher weight = longer corrosion life
Single-Side Thickness ~20 μm ~24 μm ~26 μm Thicker coating = better scratch resistance
Salt Spray Resistance 1,500+ hours 2,200+ hours 3,000+ hours Reduces maintenance & replacement cost
Typical Service Life 10–15 years 15–20 years 20–25 years Long-term reliability for outdoor/harsh use
Best Application Scenarios General construction, roofing, home appliances Industrial plants, humid areas, HVAC Coastal zones, chemical factories, marine equipment Avoid premature rust in high-corrosion areas
Formability (DC54D substrate) Excellent (no cracking) Excellent (no cracking) Excellent (no cracking) All three grades support ultra-deep drawing
Price Level Standard Medium Premium Choose based on environment & budget

Key Takeaway: For normal atmospheric environments, AZ150 is cost-effective; for industrial/humid regions, AZ180 is recommended; for coastal/heavy industrial areas, AZ200 is the safest choice to avoid early corrosion failure.

Core Advantages of DC54D+AZ Galvalume Steel Coil

DC54D+AZ Galvalume Steel Coil

1. Eliminate Processing Cracking – Ultra High Formability

Customer Concern: "Will the coil crack during deep drawing or complex stamping?"

Solution: DC54D substrate has yield strength 140–220 MPa, elongation ≥34%, the highest in DC grades. It withstands extreme deep drawing, sharp bending, and complex stamping without cracks, ensuring zero scrap rate for precision components.

2. Avoid Premature Rust – 3–8x Longer Life Than GI

Customer Concern: "Will it rust quickly in outdoor or humid environments?"

Solution: The 55% Al-Zn-Si coating provides dual protection: aluminum forms a dense barrier against moisture/oxygen, while zinc offers sacrificial protection for cut edges/scratches. Even AZ150 lasts 10+ years outdoors, outperforming galvanized steel (GI) by 3–8 times.

3. Resist High Temperature & Fading – Up to 315°C Heat Resistance

Customer Concern: "Will the coating peel or discolor under high heat?"

Solution: DC54D+AZ withstands continuous high temperature up to 315°C without peeling, cracking, or discoloration. Ideal for oven parts, solar frames, and high-temperature equipment components.

4. Perfect Surface Quality – No Spangle Defects, Easy to Paint

Customer Concern: "Is the surface smooth enough for painting or visible parts?"

Solution: Smooth, bright silver-white surface with uniform spangle, no scratches, no oxidation spots. It has excellent paint adhesion and can be directly painted or used as PPGI/PPGL substrate without pre-treatment.
