Is SGCC the same as SECC?

SGCC (Hot-Dip Galvanized Cold-Rolled Steel) is a hot-dip galvanized cold-rolled steel sheet, which is formed by immersing the cold-rolled steel sheet in molten zinc liquid has excellent anti-corrosion properties.

Coating process
Hot-dip galvanizing: Cold-rolled steel (SPCC) is immersed in zinc liquid at about 450°C to form a thicker zinc layer (20~150μm).

Spangle: Zinc crystals form patterns when cooling, which is a typical feature of hot-dip galvanizing (can be reduced or eliminated by controlling the process)

What is SGCC Hot dip galvanized coils used for?

SGCC has excellent corrosion resistance (thick zinc layer, suitable for outdoor environment), high surface hardness (zinc layer hardness is about 70~80HV), and lower cost than electrogalvanizing (SECC) and stainless steel

What is SGCC hot-dip galvanized steel material equivalent to?

SGCC is a hot-dip galvanized cold-rolled steel sheet in the Japanese JIS standard, and uses pure zinc coating (Z) by default.
