What is SPCD material?
What is SPCD material?
SPCD steel is a cold-rolled carbon steel widely used in home appliance stamping and forming processing
Tensile strength: 270~410 MPa
Yield strength: ≤210 MPa
Elongation (A50mm): ≥34%
High plasticity, suitable for complex stamping deformation.
Chemical composition:
Carbon (C): ≤0.10%
Manganese (Mn): ≤0.45%
Phosphorus (P), sulfur (S): ≤0.030%
Low carbon and low alloy design ensures good stamping performance.

What is special about SPCD?
Excellent formability: low yield strength and high elongation, reducing the risk of cracking and wrinkling.
High surface quality: cold rolling process ensures a smooth surface, suitable for subsequent treatments such as spraying or electroplating.
Dimensional accuracy: small thickness tolerance (such as ±0.05mm), meeting the needs of precision stamping
It is suitable for the home appliance industry, such as washing machine panels, refrigerator door panels, air conditioner shells and other parts that require deep drawing or stretching.
What appliances are spcc used for?
Structural parts:
Internal brackets and bases of electrical appliances (such as washing machine counterweights and air conditioner brackets).
Shell reinforcement ribs and fixing plates (simple bending is required, no deep drawing is required).
Appearance parts:
Non-exposed covering parts (such as refrigerator back panels and microwave oven side panels).
Parts that need to be sprayed or electroplated on the surface (SPCC substrate + coating for rust prevention).

What is SPCD material equivalent to?
SPCD steel belongs to the grade in the Japanese JIS standard (JIS G 3141), corresponding to the Chinese grade SPCD, which is equivalent to DC04 of German DIN or A1008 CS Type B of American ASTM.
What is the difference between Spcc and Spcd?
SPCC is a common cold-rolled steel plate, suitable for simple stamping; SPCD is a special stamping steel plate, with better elongation and formability, suitable for complex deep stamping parts
