One contract. Two product forms. One shipment.
That last line is the point. Buyers often split a volume like this across two or three suppliers because they are not sure one mill can hold it. Splitting means three specifications to check, three inspection rounds, three sets of documents and three chances for something to go wrong. We kept this one together, and it moved as a single lot.
II. What a large order really asks of a supplier
A 2,000-ton order is not a 200-ton order multiplied by ten. The risks are different, and they grow faster than the tonnage does. Here is what has to be in place.
1. Mill capacity that is actually booked.
Large tonnage cannot come from warehouse stock. It has to be reserved against a real production plan before the contract is signed. We work with tier-one mills in China and book the production slot first. That is why the lead time held at around 40 days, with no partial deliveries and no rolling delays.
2. One specification across the whole lot.
On a small order, a difference between the first coil and the last one is easy to absorb. On 2,000 tons, it becomes a problem on the buyer's line. We hold every package to the same grade, thickness and surface finish, and check consistency across batches rather than spot-checking a few pieces.
3. Inspection before loading, not after arrival.
Finding a problem after the goods land costs months. We inspect at the mill, before loading: thickness, width, surface, edge condition and packing. Buyers are welcome to send their own inspector or appoint a third party such as SGS or BV.
4. Packing that survives the voyage.
Cold rolled steel is thin, bright and easy to damage. Rust, edge knock and moisture staining are the usual complaints. Our packing is built in layers: oiling, a moisture barrier, then a rigid outer wrap. Every package is labelled so the buyer can trace a coil back to its batch.
5. Documents that clear the bank the first time.
Under an L/C, one mismatch can hold payment for weeks. Our team prepares the full document set against the credit terms before the vessel sails, and cross-checks certificates, packing lists and inspection reports against each other.
6. One person who answers.
Large orders fail on communication more often than on steel. Every order here has a single contact who follows it from quotation to discharge: one name, one inbox, and updates you do not have to chase.

III. Where large orders usually go wrong
Buyers come to us after a bad experience, and the story is usually one of these:
Capacity was promised, not booked. The supplier quoted a volume they could not produce, then shipped late or in fragments.
The specification drifted. The sample was right. The bulk shipment was not.
Nobody inspected before loading. The claim started at the destination, where claims are expensive.
Packing was built for a truck, not a ship. The steel arrived damaged or rusted.
The documents were rejected. The goods were fine. The payment was not released.
None of these are steel problems. They are process problems, and process is what we sell alongside the material.

V. Questions buyers ask us
1.Can you really handle thousands of tons in one shipment?
Yes. This case is one example. Tell us the grade, size and tonnage and we will confirm mill availability and a realistic lead time before you commit.
2.Do you accept inspection by our own team?
Yes. Inspect at the mill, appoint a third party, or ask us for photos and test reports during production.
3.What if we want to start smaller?
Most large orders start with a trial coil. That is normal, and we encourage it.
4.Which markets do you ship to?
South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, South America and Europe, with the full export chain handled in-house.
5.Plan your next large order with us
If you are sourcing cold rolled steel, galvanized steel, or any flat rolled product in volume, send us your specification. We will tell you honestly what we can supply, how long it takes, and what it needs to arrive in good condition.
