Process of Color Coated Steel Sheet
The process of color-coated sheet involves several steps, including surface preparation, coating application, and curing:
Surface preparation: The color coated steel sheet is first cleaned and pre-treated to remove any oil, rust, or other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion of the coating. This may involve a series of chemical treatments, such as degreasing, pickling, and phosphating.
Coating application: Once the surface is prepared, the coating is applied to the steel sheet in a continuous, automated process known as coil coating. The coating may be applied using various methods, such as roll coating, spray coating, or dip coating. PPGI and PPGL are few of the most used coating methods. PPGI is a zinc coated for steel used for roofing, siding and similar purposes. Meanwhile, PPGL is a aluminum zinc alloy used for columns, beams and more.
Curing: After the coating is applied, the steel sheet is baked in an oven at high temperatures to cure and harden the coating. This may involve a series of heating and cooling cycles to achieve the desired properties and finish.
Finishing: Once the sheet has been cured, it may be further processed to achieve a desired finish, such as embossing, printing, or laminating. The finished sheet is then cut to size and packaged for shipment.
