Compared with liquid-filled transformers, single-phase dry-type transformers have advantages such as small size, light weight, easy installation, no need for oil storage and maintenance, no pollution to the environment, and no fire hazards.
GNEE types DS-3 (single-phase) and DT-3 (three-phase) general purpose ventilated dry-type transformers are two-winding, self-cooled, and available in a wide variety of primary and secondary voltage combinations. General purpose transformers are designed for continuous operation at rated kVA. They are designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with all of the latest applicable ANSI, NEMA and IEEE standards.
