In harsh environments and everyday use, steel's greatest enemy is rust. Once rust forms on ordinary steel, not only does it lose its appearance, but its structural strength also plummets, posing safety risks and posing high replacement costs.
Hot-dip galvanizing is the perfect solution to this challenge. A653 galvanized steel coil is produced by immersing clean steel coils in molten zinc, creating a dense, metallurgically bonded zinc-iron alloy layer on the steel surface.
Corrosion resistance
Flexible zinc coating thickness: The A653 standard specifies different zinc coating designations (Gxx), such as G60 and G90, corresponding to different zinc coating weights (g/m²). This allows you to precisely select the required level of protection based on the corrosion environment of the end application (C1: mild indoor - C5: harsh industrial/marine), avoiding under- or over-protection.
Long-life guarantee: In typical atmospheric environments, the G90 zinc coating (275g/m² on both sides) provides decades of effective protection, significantly reducing lifecycle costs. It is an ideal choice for outdoor structures, guardrails, photovoltaic mounting systems, grain silos, and more.
